Citation
Description The possibilities of developing soft skills in schools and universities are a multidisciplinary topic that has recently been mentioned in numerous studies related to curricula innovations (cf. de Viliers 2010, Caggiano 2020, Pereira 2017). The need for the so-called soft skills training is identified by the pupils, parents and students as well as by the state and the commercial sector, with a closer connection of the curricula to practice being planned. As a result, university teachers are looking for suitable concepts for embedding soft skills training into regular university teaching. One of the aims of this paper is to encourage teachers to take responsibility for their students' soft skills. Therefore, we would like to present possible techniques and methods for the further development of soft skills in language teaching, specifically in German as a foreign language teaching, at universities, which make it possible to transform interdisciplinary theoretical approaches into practical lesson plans.
