| Description | In the period between the 13th to 9th centuries BC, (BC2–HaB), a large complex of the so-called Urnfields Cultures expanded across central Europe. Even though only in a fragmentary form, the presence of this complex has been documented also in Mikulovice, from its oldest part in the form of the Lusatian culture. Early in the 20th century, the first graves were recorded roughly in the area below the Mikulovice hill. During the rescue surveys after 2000, individual features indicating the existence of a residential area were also discovered. The situation in neighbouring Dražkovice appear better, with the discovery of a larger burial site of the Lusatian culture with typical cremation graves. |
