| Description | Michael Dummett's anti-realism challenges the classic notion of meaning theory. A problematic part of his program are past-tense sentences. In my presentation I will deal with these ones. I will present Dummett's critique of the realistic position, which is based on the principle of true-value link, and the solutions offered by anti-realism, discussed in The Reality of the Past. Finaly I will show in the works of Wright, McDowell and Weiss the obstacles that Dummett's followers must face. |
