| Description | This poster deals with the cosmetic tradition in the ancient Roman world. It focuses on the gender role issues in ancient society, composition of cosmetic products and their containers, toilet tools and decorative programs of the elite cosmetic substance containers. A significant part of the thesis is represented by own experiment of a cream production based on the ancient Roman recipe. The catalogue of container discoveries, both - with and without cosmetic residues, is a part of the thesis as well. In the second part of the catalogue, the examples of toilet tools are given, to a lesser extent. |
