Description The newly developed prototype of biosensor tip sensitive to beta-HCH combines two initial enzymes of the metabolic pathway for degradation of lindane, dehydrochlorinase LinA and haloalkane dehalogenase LinB. Both enzymes have been stabilized by protein engineering and exhibit increased stability during immobilization techniques. A new biosensor tip utilize the high density of two co-immobilized proteins and exhibit sensitivity in the detection of beta-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexachlorocyclohexane (a problematic environmental contaminant included in the Stockholm Convention).
