| Description | This is an updated new study and translation of one of the most important books about democracy from the Ancient Athens. The edition contains an introductory chapter (of approx. 45 pages) and a double translation from the original Greek – one commented – of the brief treatise anonymous “Athenaion Politeia”, a IV century BCE text of political philosophy attributed to Xenophon. This is a study covering the “Pseudo-Xenophon question”, objectives of the text, ideology etc. It is accompanied with a glossary of 14 pages, chronology, bibliography and two translations, one literary, the other one being literal and profusely commented. Preface by José Luis Moreno Pestana. |
