Description | The certified methodology (Nmet) implementing the contract No. 201301009 dated 16 December 2014. The certified methodology is used for the characterisation of the human exposure to the selected emergent pollutants in indoor environment. The right application of the methodology can then perform subsequent characterisation of contributions when assessing the potential risks of inhalation, oral and dermal exposure in indoor environment. The methodology contains detailed description of sampling methods, description of the following methods of trace analysis of emergent pollutants, description of the methods for potential toxic effects evaluation in indoor environment (with emphasis on effects evaluated in vitro on human cell lines), description of the questionnaires. This methodology was optimised in different types of residential indoor environment of schools, homes and work offices, The methodology is focused on brominated flame retardants (BFRs) which include polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDEs) and hexabromocyclododecane (HBCM) and another group of substances are perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) where the most important representatives are perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). The methodology was certified on 22 December 2017 by the Ministry of the Environment and published in its Buletin 1/2017. |
