| Description | This analysis focuses on the issue of income poverty and material deprivation in old age considering both the objective and subjective dimensions of this phenomenon. Analysis has three basic parts. In the first part of the text, immediately after the recapitulation of the theoretical framework of concepts processed, the data from survey "Living Conditions" - SILC for the period 2008-2012 are analysed and the "objective" situation of older persons is presented. In the second part, we rely mainly on the secondary analysis of the "Consumers" survey, realized in the adult population of the Czech Republic (40+), concentrating on a subjective point of view of poverty and material deprivation. We focus on socially determined relation between the "aging" per se and "subjective poverty" as an important determinant of quality of life. The third part, a detailed attention is devoted to the instruments a priori defined as a form of increasing financial or income security in old age, especially during the critical transit ion into retirement. The so-called pre-retirement schemes are analysed in terms of the length of the receipt and the amount of monthly deposits. |
