Description The 1D model of thermal history and subsidence of the Slušovice-1 borehole was created in order to determine the possible temperature range reached during the Carpathian nappes thrusting. The calibration parameters such as vitrinite reflectance Rr [%] and the stabilized temperature measured during pumping tests were used. The model represents gradual thrusting of the Carpathian Foredeep alochtone part (Pícha et al. 2006), the Soláň, Beloveža and Zlín Formation on the autochtonous basement (Fig. 1) at the age from 16.5 to 8 Ma (Pícha et al. 2006). The borehole Slusovice-1 is specific due to different maturation grade in thrust belts. Completely different approach in thrust modeling has been used (Hantschel – Kauerauf 2008; Gusterhuber et al. 2013). The heat flow (HF) scenario (Fig. 3) respect presented geological basin history research (Pícha et al. 2006). In the some way HF values respect presented typical HF values during appropriate basin regime (Allen – Allen. 2005). Maximum HF 80 mW/m2 was reached during Paleozoic (Fig 3). Follow up gradual cooling reached minimum value of 48 mW/m2. During the last scenario part, the HF values were artificially decreased from 48 to 40 mW/m2 due to thrusting of the nappes. The highest temperature ranging between 110 and 115 °C was achieved for bottom part of the paleozoic floor at the depth of 4 600 m during age from 8 to 7 Ma (Fig. 5), which was caused by the deepest burial depth too (Hantschel – Kauerauf 2008). Submitted study has been also used for thermal conductivity testing. Best fit conductivity parameters for each sedimentary formations are shown in Table 1.
