Description This article discusses the economic and historical context of landscape development on Moravian border. Landscape pattern in this area is vernacular. There is a cultural landscape, whose main purpose is to satisfy essential human needs. This type of landscape can be defined by using several social and economic characteristics. These characteristics are: fragmentary administration, absence of a center of power, absence of development axes and dependence on local, predominantly agricultural production. Particular attention will be aimed to historical changes of landscape and transformative landscape effects of changes in the markets for agricultural products.
