Description Inclusive education and life-long learning are mainstream trends of the European educational system. The current approach to education puts forward general core competencies applicable to a wide range of educational paths and routes. When solving the task of preventing exclusion among people with disability, educators should pay special attention to development of core competencies as substantiate options for inclusion. Aimed at tracing special needs of students with disability during the acquisition of core competencies, special toolkits fortify the grounds of further life-long learning, reinforce options for job placing, and improve general quality of life as well. The chapter compares core competencies in the context of inclusive education at the EU and national levels.
