Description The issue of legal standards of health, prevention is an important element of the state. The part relating to tobacco control is so important and necessary that its failure would result in unfattering statistics. These complaints are treated in several versions, and therefore the purpose of this work is to map the area in terms of legislation of the SR. The aim is also to mention the conditions of non-smokers, whether in terms of the Constitution or Act No. Collection of Laws. 377/2004, respectively the amendment to the Law 87/2009. Principal idea of this work rises from the commonly occurring situations in our society, when a statute must regulate the unhealthy efects respectively prevent from them. In our work we also deal with Act no. 147/2001 Collection of Laws and how Slovak Republic regulates tobacco advertising and that eventually makes fghting the addiction much more efective and it creates a presumption of full development especially among young people. This total range of measures in legislation means the constant evolution of tobacco control in Slovakia. Every efort to reduce number of smokers and restricting their contact with non-smokers is being regulated by law. Slovakia can be regarded as the country where additional adjustments are appropriate and should therefore be classifed as moderately severe.
