| Description | Landscape of Jáchymov is known for uranium mining in the 20th century and for the sad fact of existence of prison camps. It represents the example of disappearing traces of some human activities as well as the exampe of transformation of the mining area. In the most cases, the traces of the existence of camps near Jáchymov are little noticeable or completely unnoticeable.This article presents the sample of research of using of military maps and orthophotos of 50s of the 20th century for documentation of existence and placement of camps on Jáchymov area and using maps on map server for documentation the rest of camps in landscape. |
