Description An archaeological research of a defunct hospital church and cemetery was performed in Znojmo (Czech Republic) by Zdeněk Čižmář in 2006–2007. There were uncovered 147 graves containing 149 individuals dated from 13th to 16th century. Basic anthropological examination and detailed paleopathological analysis was performed on that skeletal collection and pathological changes were found on many of these skeleton remains. Five individuals were suspected to have syphilitic changes and therefore put under analysis.
