Dear students and colleagues,
In light of recent events and in line with the stance of Masaryk University as a whole, the management of ECON MUNI has decided to cancel the planned activities at the faculty for the upcoming week.
Thus, Orientation Week activities, including the matriculation ceremonies, will not take place, and classes scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21, as part of the combined study program, will also be canceled. The pedagogical conference is similarly canceled.
Classes at ECON MUNI will resume on September 23 according to the schedule. The academic community meeting of ECON MUNI will be rescheduled to Monday, September 23 at 2 PM (at which time classes will be canceled). If you wish to participate in or seek assistance, you can use MUNI HELPS, where you will find detailed information. We also recommend following the MUNI HELPS social media channels and sharing any calls for help.
I hope these measures will ease the situation for those who are in a difficult position and allow others to offer assistance.

On Monday, 18 November 2024, the AS ECON MUNI meeting confirmed the faculty leadership for the next four years. Most of the Vice-Deans continue with their agenda with updated priorities, the team will be newly completed by Oleg Deev as Vice-Dean for Strategy and Development.
In some parts of the city, it can be faster to ride a shared bike than to drive or take public transport. In Brno, these are areas like Nová Zbrojovka or Spielberg Office, where traffic is heavy and public transport accessibility is poor. Dr Ondřej Špetík from ECON MUNI talks about how Brno residents use the bike-sharing system in the following interview.
