Christmas kindness at ECON MUNI

We would like to warmly invite all students and employees to a pre-Christmas meeting which will take place on Tuesday 19 December 2023 from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the foyer of the faculty. Come and get in the mood for Christmas, chat over punch with fellow students, lecturers, colleagues and make a donation to a good cause.
And how will our (good)day go?
We will continue the successful tradition of Giving Day and host a charity buffet. In addition, we will also organise a material collection. The total proceeds of the charity event will go to the Vesna association. There will also be an area for Christmas crafts during the day.
Charity buffet
Students and staff are invited and asked to bring Christmas sweets and other sweet/salty treats 🥞. These goodies will be displayed on tables in the faculty foyer and offered for purchase. Anyone can contribute an amount of their choice - either cash in the boxes or use a QR code to pay by card.
If you would like to bring your goodie, please come to the front of room P101 on the day of the event between 8.00 and 9.20am, with the option to bring it later if necessary. Ideally bring your dish in a non-returnable container/box. Thank you! ❤️
Material collection
Participate in a collection of clothing and shoes for families with children so that together we can bring warm smiles to the faces of children and adults.
We welcome winter clothing - men's, and children's pieces, including sportswear such as sweatpants and thermal wear. 👚🧥Winter footwear is a rare commodity, so we appreciate every wearable pair. 👞
In addition, we welcome hygiene items from diapers to menstrual supplies, shampoos and soaps. 🧴 Products in the cheapest price range will suffice. Every donation has a role to play.

Vesna, The Women’s Educational Institute in Brno, continues the more than 150-year history of the Vesna association in Brno. Since its current form was established in May 2021, it has provided material assistance to more than 32,000 people. In addition to distributing clothing and school supplies, it serves as a social services counsellor in the South Moravian Region. Vesna also supports Ukrainian families fleeing the war.
We look forward to all those who donate food or clothing, as well as those who stop by and purchase treats at the charity buffet.
