The teaching in this field of study is carried out in Czech. This field of study prepares economists for the application of economic decision-making processes on the level of regions, cities and towns. The graduates also obtain basic knowledge of the public administration area. The solutions of local issues often require multidisciplinary approach; the students therefore learn to communicate with experts of other professions, so that the decision-making they will participate in will be of a complex character. Full-time students will also be educated in resolving difficult projects and basic methodical procedures during the preparation for decision-making in the public administration. The basic goal of the combined study is to teach students to identify, formulate and judge economic implications of the decision-making processes in regional administration. This will be carried out not only in terms of administrative actions but also through inner efficiency of the regional administration institutions. In addition, the spatial aspects of decision-making are stressed, both on regional and municipal level.

Job perspectives for graduates of this field:

The graduates will be able to work especially in public administration bodies as well as in those institutions where regional aspects need to be concerned during the decisionmaking processes.
