The teaching in this field of study is carried out in Czech. Students in this field are prepared especially for working in economic and administrative professions in public and private non-profit sectors. An economist’s work in these sectors is particularly demanding considering the ability to perceive, understand and respect political and social aspects of economic processes. The training therefore includes subjects such as public economy, public administration, social policy, regional and municipal economy, and public policy. Students learn to manage public resources effectively, both on the side of public earnings (tax system, tax and duty administration) and on the side of investing public money in various spheres.

Job perspectives for graduates of this field:

The graduates will be able to work in fields such as employment and social security, health service, social services, education, culture, physical culture, and sports. They will be able to work as skilled economists also in the sphere of housing and technical infrastructure, and in the whole field of public administration, including army, police, judiciary, penal system, etc. They will also be able to find work in the field of tax and duty administration. However, thanks to facultycompulsory subjects the students will also obtain knowledge of economic theories and classical market economy (e.g. finance and business).
