The Economic Policy field of study is designed to educate graduates with strong theoretical background. The graduates are able to apply theoretical information in practice for solving economic-political problems. Practically oriented courses focus on current issues of economic policy in both the Czech Republic and the European Union. The aim is to educate graduates who will be able to apply their skills and knowledge in jobs in various sectors of the national economy. This is enabled partly by means of a wide range of both theoretical and practical compulsory subjects and partly by means of a large choice of optional subjects. Therefore, the students can focus on what is important for them with respect to their future occupation. The graduates can work in public and regional administration, the EU institutions, banks, the academic sphere, consulting companies and nonprofit organizations as well. The graduates also have good prospects for the doctoral study at all economic universities in both the Czech Republic and foreign countries.

Job perspectives for graduates of this field:

The graduates can work in state and regional administration, in bodies that prepare the Czech Republic for its role within the EU, the EU bodies, economic and research departments of banks and financial institutions of both public and private kind. In addition, the consultancy and information companies and non-profit organizations are interested in graduates of this field of study. By means of optional subjects, the students can also focus on the area of public administration.
