Graduate profile
Graduate profile reflects a comprehensive range of general, expert and specific knowledge and skills gradually acquired over the period of the scientific postgraduate studies. The goal of research study in economics is to gain profound theoretical insights into economic theories. Graduates will be able to make independent analyses and assessments of economic phenomena on an interrelated basis and contextualise them with reference to the current cognition in the economic science. They will gain competence to apply an appropriate framework to the addressed economic issue and assess the relevance and character of their argumentation.
Graduate Employment
Graduates in Economics will be able to operate in a variety of specialist economic professions, work at a tertiary level of education or pursue an individual scientific career. They may apply their knowledge as top managers and executives in state and regional administration or fill up the posts in the EU institutions, i.e. seek job opportunities in the institutions at central and regional levels generating conditions for the operation of economic entities. They are also eligible to work in the analytical and research departments of banks, financial institutions, industrial companies and business corporations.
