Content of the Final State Examination
The state examination consists of the defence of the final thesis and further of the academic discussion. The total length of the state examination will be 45 minutes.
- The Final State Examination starts with the defence which includes:
a) presentation of the thesis by the student (max. 15 minutes, we strongly recommend 8-10) – the presentation should be prepared in PowerPoint. We would suggest you practise it as the time limit cannot be exceeded.
b) reviews on the thesis by examination board (5 minutes) – the board will be reading both supervisor's and reader's review.
c) the thesis defence and discussion about the thesis (10 minutes) – the student reacts to comments and questions of the board.
- The academic discussion, which takes 15 minutes, will be focused on the topic of the defended thesis and its content will cover the compulsory courses of the given study programme.
